Mixed Media Monday 10.24.16

Good morning!
I have such a gorgeous layout to share with you today from Lisa Griffith using the Scraps Of Elegance 'Timeless' kit.

She roughly tore off the top and side part of the paper, sprinkled the torn paper edges with water to get some really good folds into the paper and then glued it down to the pink paper with a diamond pattern. Using heavy white gesso and a cool stencil with diamond shapes she created some texture on the background. Then shesplashed some inks all around and then added all her layers: some white cheesecloth sprayed with the same pink mist, some torn up papers, some of the BoBunny ephemera pieces and then lots of the pretty Prima flowers.

She LOVES the Prima wooden Alphas that came in the Elements Add On, and there's a whole big box of them too, perfect for creating a fun title.

No photo needed....

Good Morning!
Sometimes an item in a kit will speak to our design team members and they will create a project centered around that item and sometimes no photo is needed!

When she saw the several chipboard and die-cut doors window shutters from the BoBunny Bella Rosa line, she was inspired to create this layout and use this quote that she has always loved way back from her University days when she was a huge fan of Jim Morrison and The Doors: "There are things known and things unknown, and in between are the doors of perception."  The quote is from Aldous Huxley but Jim Morrison was inspired by it greatly when writing his own poetry and songs.
She used a lot of the rustic shapes from the kit and an image of a very old and vintage door and doorknob borrowed from the web.

Book Of Me pages with Kathy & Nicole!

Good morning!
I love it when our beautiful design team ladies create pages about themselves!

First up we have Kathy with this gorgeous layout using the
Scraps Of Darkness 'Blush" kit

The background paper is one of the Prima "Vintage Emporium" papers included in the Coordinating Paper Add On.  The left side of the layout has clusters of fussy cut flowers that she cut from the Kaisercraft "Treasured Moments" collection which also comes in the Coordinating Paper Add-On.

She adhered a lace that from her stahs down the middle.  Behind it I glued a piece of hemp ribbon that came in a previous kit.  Next to the ribbon she stamped a swirly design using a stamp from an older kit.

She inked a paper doily to place behind the photo and heat embossed a chipboard oval frame from her stash using the Blue Fern Studio Embossing Powder "Antique Gold".

To create the lovely flower clusters she started by fussy cutting more flowers to mixed with the other flowers.

Most of the flowers came in the Main Kit and Floral Add-On and also added some from her stash.  The little clock at the top left side was included in the Elements Add On (Chipboard) and she tucked some pearls in each of the clusters.

The next beautiful layout was created by Nicole using the
Scraps Of Elegance 'Timeless' kit!

She sprayed Lindy's Starburst Spray and added dabs of white paint to add a little touch of mixed media to her page.
