Mixed Media Monday

Good Monday morning!
It's going to be warm and rainy here today and I really wish I could scrap but alas....
my house looks like a tornado ran through it....Maybe I can get everything done this morning then scrap the afternoon away while I watch netflix!

Since it is another Monday I thought I would share some outstanding mixed media creations from our uber talented team!

First up is a gorgeous project from Lisa using the Scraps Of Darkness Kit 'Laura's Wish'

Lisa cut out the photo of her daughter to add fun and drama! More stamping, random rub ons and splatters make this page come to life!

There is so much going on with the background that she decided to calm the whole page down by bringing in the white flowers and keeping them pretty clean so your eye has a place to rest.

She brought a bit of texture in with some fiber from a previous kit and metal pieces she had on hand.

Next up I am going to share a couple of stunning layouts from Stephanie using the Scraps Of Elegance 'Lynne's Garden Terrace' kit

She used the  BoBunny, Garden Newspaper Collection and thePrima Marketing Flowers, Butterfly Collection.  She decided to use this paper with 6 old printed postcards, ideal to be cut out and ready to be used for various projects, But because she wanted to scrap this photo, She thought it would be an ideal background paper for her photo.

now for the awesome details.....

her next layout is just as beautiful

Stephanie loves the sweetness that in all elements of the kit, papers and embellishments. She also loves that in the kit there are several collections of papers that combine beautifully with each other, so you can work with both collections simultaneously.

She turned the paper to have horizontal planks of wood so as to be in the same path as the wooden bench in the photo.

She also used the gorgeous
resin embellishments from Prima (Shabby chic Treasures by Ingvild Bolme- Resin Garden Bugs), she really a fan of these resins!

here are all the gorgeous details....

And here is a great tip....

In this kit, you will also find a number of metal embellishments, she loves this kind of embellishments on her mixed-media projects. Here, the embellishments were in dark pewter color but her layout has brown as dominant color.  She wanted to change the color of this metal embellishment and it's very easy to do... She used brown Adirondack alcohol ink from Ranger , and the color change is immediate; some images below for illustration.
