Lisa's stunning Sunshine & Sweet Tea layout

Good morning!

Lisa's created a stunning mixed media layout with our July Scraps of Elegance Sunshine & Sweet Tea kit:

Lisa used a lot of products from the Elements Add On to add details to her page.
Beneath the photo she layered a soft pink doily from DoCrafts Bright Spot Paper Doilies and also used some stamping with embossing- the Prima Salvage District Stamps with the Blue Fern Studio Imagine Ink Embossing Powder (the embossing powder is found in the color add on.)
Also found in the Elements Add On are Prima Wooden Embellishments from Salvage District...she used the keys and broke them up to place in different areas on the page.
She really loves the little butterflies floating out of the photo and on to the page. These were created with a really sweet American Crafts Knock Outs Mini Butterfly Punch found in the Main Kit. She surrounded the photo with lots of florals and fussy cut blossoms and leaves.

To add some subtle interest and mixed media effects she used a stencil and Distress Ink around the edges  and clustered near the other embellishments.

A little bit of acrylic bubbles in the jar with some fussy cut berries and florals.

Pretty in Pink... Mixed media beauty by Lisa

Good morning!
Pink is such a pretty color.....and I love how Lisa Griffith created this beautiful pink layout!

Lisa Griffith's stunning pink mixed media layout, created with our Sunshine & Sweet Tea kit

She saw the light butterflies along the right hand side of the paper 'Bliss', so she grabbed a black watercolor pencil and traced them all out, then went back over them with a small wet paintbrush and it really brought them to life! She added lots of black stamping and built up some layers using lots of goodies from the kit.

She used one the pink doilies from the kit and painted it messily with a black paint dauber to get it looking really distressed, and also fussy cut some flowers and butterflies from the different papers.

Mixed Media Monday - July 25

Good morning!

Nicole created this super sweet canvas using the Scraps Of Elegance
'Sunshine & Sweet Tea' Kit.

She decided to do a jar of flowers using the a jar chipboard piece from Blue Fern Studios and many of the flowers from the Floral add-on.

Her base was covered with many layers of different paints and pastes and inks.

She took several pieces of the Prima twine and made a crisscross pattern on her base.

And, as a final touch, some of the sweet little bees from the BoBunny Butterfly Kisses chipboard set!

weekend inspiration from Nicole!

Good morning!

Welcome to another Friday which means it is time for a weekend inspiration post....to help get your creative juices flowing this weekend!
Do you feel like making some fabulous cards?

These wonderful cards were created by Nicole using our Scraps Of Elegance July kit, Sunshine & Sweet Tea.

All 3 cards are different from one another, each in a different color palette, but still from the same gorgeous papers from the BoBunny Butterfly Kisses collection included in the kit.

First there's this soft pink card using the cute chipboard hummingbird (main kit) and the lovely Salvage District stamp from Prima (Elements Add On). Nicole also used one of the Bright Spark doilies that was in the Elements Add On, and the sweet flower is by Blue Fern, and is in the main kit.  The chipboard key is also by Blue Fern, and was in our May main kit.

With the 2nd card, she decided to go with teal blue and fussy cut these adorable jars out of the paper!

The final card she created she used a peach color scheme....

Maybe this weekend you would like to create a layout or two - to inspire you here is a beautiful layout, also from Nicole....

For this layout she used a Blue Fern Studios paper from the romantic Courtship Lane collection (included in the main kit) as her background, and then accented with some BoBunny Butterfly Kisses papers (also from the main kit), chipboard and buttons.  She used the Prima stamp (in the Elements Add On) to form part of the title and even stamped some pretty butterflies that she cut out and popped up against her background.

One of her favorite part of this kit are the gorgeous Attic Charm Daisies from Blue Fern Studios.
